What's In a Name?
When people come up to Susan Walters
and say, "Don't I know you?" she can pretty determine where they know her
from by their age and/or sex. "I still get a lot of Loving fans," she marvels,
"And there are many people who think I'm Marcia Cross. I get that all
the time, and I just don't see it." If men are stuck, all Walters usally
has to say is "Mulva" and they go, "Yeah ! "In a classic Seinfeld episode,
Jerry can't recall his new girlfriend's name; he only knows it rhymes with
a female body part. "I loved being Mulva," Walters says fondly. " As it
started out, it was supposed to be aname that rhymed with either a car
or a poet. I feel I contributed to it being Mulva in a very small way.
During rehersal, we started running lines and I played her real seductively.
The next day, the nane was changed."
